Once you have authentic poké, you will DEFINITELY find it hard to eat at many other poké spots. *ALL shade*
This family owned restaurant changed my palette FOREVER when it comes to poké !!! The ahi poké is mad fresh and flavorful. I could honestly eat it by itself. This poké bowl not only comes with the usual seaweed salad, it also has lomi salmon which is similar to ceviche. It added a lot of texture and flavor to pair with the kalua pork that was equally mouthwatering. Unless you’ve been to Hawaii or can’t go, I suggest that you go here because this is as close as you’ll get to REAL authentic poké.
Now, the wings were dee-freaking-lish !!! Perfectly crispy and the sauce was sweet with a nice kick of spice but not too spicy where many can’t handle it. Unfortunately, their Newport Beach location has now closed down and that location was the only one you could get the wings. Don’t trip because their CPC is EQUALLY delicious, okay ?!! They use the same signature sauce on their chicken, as the wings. My sauce recommendation would be the Spicy Garlic one but you can’t go wrong with any of them. I personally love getting the CPC Plate and opt for the boneless thighs cooked extra crispy.
