BEST PANCAKE EVER (SO FAR)
Grandma Sampler
- Two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, thick sliced bacon, smoked sausage, ham (sugared or country) and hash brown casserole
Y’all should know by now that I’m not a pancake person. However, for THEIR pancakes I’m team captain of the pancake squad !!!
I was a bit overwhelmed by their menu because I wanted to try everything and I think the waiter could tell, lol. She recommended the ‘Grandma Sampler’ and I was sold because it came with pancakes, as well as the hash brown casserole I was curious about. I substituted the plain pancakes for the ‘wild maine blueberry’ ones, because… hello, TASTE ! *hair flip*
Now when I tell you that first bite of the hash brown casserole was hittin… BAAAY-BEEEE !!!!! I inhaled all of it before I took a bit of anything else. It was THAT good ! Let’s get into these blueberry pancakes because, chiiile ! The recipe for them pancakes better never change !!! That batter and blueberry mix *chef’s kiss* .They’re big as hell and I only finished 1.5 of them most likely because of the hash and sides. Until I’ve had better, these will remain the best pancakes I’ve ever had.
As far as the rest of the meal, the bacon was delicious but the eggs, ham (I picked the sugared option) and sausage were just ok. Not terrible but I am fine not ever having it again. I would go back just for the hash brown casserole, bacon and blueberry pancakes alone. Also, the little syrup bottle was adorbsss !!!
