BREAKFAST BY THE COAST
- Smoked Trout Breakfast
- raisin toast, free range scrambled eggs, cucumbers, avocado and smoked trout with a side of hollandaise sauce
I was leaving from one airbnb to another, in a different part of the city and needed a quick breakfast. This mediterranean bistro style restaurant was located right down the street. Upon walking in you’re greeted by the hostess and since not many people were there at the time, I asked for a table by the window.
I’ve never had smoked trout before but I figured it was similar to smoked salmon, which I’ve had on a bagel. Besides, smoked fish is just plain delicious. Even though it doesn’t look like much, this breakfast was actually filling. Normally, I put jam or butter and jam *I don’t care for jelly #TeamJam*, on my toast but since this already had raisins I just put a little butter instead. The last minute decision to grab breakfast here was a good one. Plus, this has also become one of my rotating breakfast meals I cook at home, minus the hollandaise sauce.
