The Bride to be (my best friend) wanted to come here after she said yes to the dress !!! She was decorated in her veil and sash we made her wear, so she ended up getting a free drink lol.
The atmosphere is Caribbean theme and popular reggae tunes play on the speakers. On the outside patio, they will sometimes have a live steel drum player who sings too. Since we were out early for the dress appointment, we beat the lunch rush. We were sat down quickly and all of us had an idea of what we wanted so we ordered right away. I chose the ‘Firecracker Shrimp’ appetizer and the ‘Steak Oscar’ as my entree.
When I tell you I can eat that firecracker shrimp everyday… I. CAN. EAT. IT. EV-ER-Y-DAY !!! The spicy sauce was enough to give you a kick but not too much where you have to change clothes because you’re sweating. If you can’t handle spice, you might want to ask for it on the side just in case. My steak was cooked medium well, per usual and I got more lump crab than I was expecting. I love a good steak and seafood combo. Asparagus was cooked with a little bit of crunch, which I prefer over soggy and the mashed potatoes were flavorful too. I’m sure we will be hitting this spot the next time I’m back home in the DMV.
